The "Basketweaver Hat" by Stephen West was originally knitted with 1 skein Walk Merino DK in "Lime Soda" and 1 skein West Wool Tandem. We offer the set instead with our very similar colorway "Pebbles" on Merino DK.

About the design: "This fingering weight shawl is knit sideways starting at the little edge and increasing toward the wide edge. One main color is featured throughout all the garter stitch stripes. Eight contrast colors are used for painting the waves in stockinette stitch. The stitches are very easy to knit with I-cord edges framing the wavy triangular shape."

Yardage: Approximately 280yds / 256m total

Delivery time: 3-6 weeks after receipt of payment (depending on destination country)

Dyes are applied merely by hand so there is a natural variation within hanks of the same dye lot. To maintain an even appearance in larger projects we would suggest to alternate skeins while knitting.

We take great care photographing our items, but please take into account that colors might vary slightly due to different monitors.

Cold hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry.

We recommend pre-washing intense colors before combining with lighter shades to remove excess color pigments.
