This yarn set contains 3 skeins in total - 2 skeins Tough Sock and 1 skein Kid Mohair Lace, perfect for the "Slice of Light" shawl by Susanne Sommer.

About the design: "The shawl is knit in different textures and gauges. It starts with a large-gauge biased triangle, knit with one strand of fingering weight and one strand of lace weight mohair held together in a large rib pattern.
After picking stitches up from one of the triangle‘s sides, the shawl is then knit top-down at a smaller gauge in one- and two-color brioche and garter stitch short-row stripes. An i-cord surrounds the entire shawl for a clean and finished look."

The mix of mohair and fingering weight yarn and the play with gauges make this a large and airy shawl with lots of drape – a perfect slice of light on cooler summer nights or whenever you need a wooly hug.

The original shawl was knit with Walk Tough Sock in "Caterpillar" and "Grunge Pop" and Walk Kid Mohair Lace in "Caterpillar".

This listing is only for the yarn, the pattern is not included. You will find the suggested pattern (available in German and English) on Ravelry:

Delivery time: 3-6 weeks after receipt of payment (depending on destination country)

Dyes are applied merely by hand so there is a natural variation within hanks of the same dye lot. To maintain an even appearance in larger projects we would suggest to alternate skeins while knitting.

We take great care photographing our items, but please take into account that colors might vary slightly due to different monitors.

Cold hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry.

We recommend pre-washing intense colors before combining with lighter shades to remove excess color pigments.
