This yarn set contains Cottage Merino and KidMohair Lace (large: 4+1 skeins // small: 2+1 skeins) perfect for the STRIPED ESJAN shawl by Stephen West, published in Westknits Bestknits Number 3 - Shawl Evolution.
This top-down design begins with easy garter stitch stripes. Yarn over eyelets shape the semi-circular shawl for easy meditative knitting. Large lace holes decorate the border with a glowing mohair silk contrast color. The holes increase in size and produce a lovely scalloped edging inspired by the mountains of Iceland.
The original shawl (large) was knit with Cottage Merino in Pebbles and Solar System and with KidMohair Lace in Pink Candy and the small version was knit with Cottage Merino in Pebbles and Embers and with KidMohair Lace in Secret.

Care
Cold hand wash recommended. Lay flat to dry. We recommend pre-washing intense colors before combining with lighter shades to remove excess color pigments.Color information
Dyes are applied merely by hand so there is a natural variation within hanks of the same dye lot. To maintain an even appearance in larger projects I would suggest to alternate skeins while knitting.
I take great care photographing my items, but please take into account that colours might vary slightly due to different monitors.
